Meat Chickens are getting bigger!
Rasing Cornish Cross chickens is pretty straight forward, I make sure to provide them with a protected shelter to live in and access to an outdoor area where they can move around and get sunlight. I also make sure to feed them a diet that is high in protein and other nutrients to support their rapid growth.
When I first got my Cornish Cross chicks, they needed to be fed a specialized diet to support their rapid growth. As they have gotten older, they have continued to grow, although at a slower rate. These chickens can reach butchering size in as little as 6-8 weeks, although some may take longer to reach their full size.
Throughout the growing process, I have been monitoring the chickens’ health and well-being and taking steps to prevent any problems that may arise. Raising Cornish Cross chickens can be a rewarding and fulfilling experience, but it does require some time and effort.
